Gulf Breeze Real Estate And Homes For Sale
The City of Gulf Breeze is a small waterfront community of just over 6,000 residents that take great pride in its character and landscape. Located in Santa Rosa County at the end of the Fairpoint Peninsula, Gulf Breeze is separated from Pensacola by the Pensacola Bay on the north, to the south by the Santa Rosa Sound to Pensacola Beach. The east of Gulf Breeze lays the Naval Live Oaks section of the National Gulf Seashore. While connected by bridges to larger cities and communities, Gulf Breeze is characterized by its quiet residential community atmosphere.
This small city enjoys an incredible wealth of outdoor recreational opportunities that are perfect for taking full advantage of over 300 days of sunshine during the year. Miles of pristine beaches on the Gulf Islands National Seashore provide outlets for sunbathing, fishing, surfing, snorkeling, diving and more. Gulf Breeze has more than half of its land devoted to parks which encompass over 1,500 acres within the city limits. Of note is the South Santa Rosa Recreational Center, sometimes called the Shoreline Park, which features 138 acres and a sports complex. Shoreline Park’s football and soccer field, four baseball fields, two basketball courts, six tennis courts, jogging trails, and public beach compliment the 40,000-square foot recreation center. Boaters have numerous places to launch with areas available at Shoreline Park South, Oriole Beach, Wayside Park and Woodlawn Beach, to name a few. The area also boasts over 40 golf courses located within 100 miles so you can pick your tee time with ease.
Although fairly secluded from the hectic places nearby, Gulf Breeze has its fair share of great shopping and dining opportunities. Artists, musicians and performers love the ambiance created by Gulf Breeze and regularly participate in the many fine arts festivals held here throughout the year. Local museums, art shows and galleries in the area feature local, national and international talent, and the ZOO showcases over 800 animals and lush tropical gardens for further enjoyment.
Gulf Breeze Elementary, Middle and High School routinely score highly in academic testing, providing an extra incentive for attracting residents to this fantastic community.
